This 12-Month Limited Warranty Agreement (“Warranty” or “Agreement”) is made between Sold On Ltd. (“the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the customer (“you” or “your”) who has purchased a used electronic product (“Product”) covered by this Warranty.

1. Warranty Coverage

1.1 This Warranty covers repairs or replacements for defects in materials and workmanship for the Product purchased from Sold On Ltd. for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase, subject to the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement.

1.2 This Warranty applies only to Products purchased directly from Sold On Ltd. within the United Kingdom. It covers only the original purchaser and is not transferable to subsequent owners or buyers.

1.3 Products covered by this Warranty are those classified as used electronics, including but not limited to mobile phones, laptops, tablets, gaming consoles, and other devices listed on the Company’s website.

2. Covered Defects and Repairs

2.1 This Warranty covers:

  • Defects in materials, such as component failure due to no fault of your own.
  • Workmanship defects, including poor assembly or repair work prior to sale.

2.2 During the Warranty period, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace the defective part or Product with a similar one of equal value and condition, based on the availability of components and the nature of the defect.

2.3 All repairs or replacements provided under this Warranty will be covered under the remainder of the original Warranty period. Any repairs or replacements performed do not extend or reset the Warranty period.

3. Limitations and Exclusions

3.1 This Warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper handling (e.g., drops, impact, water exposure).
  • Damage caused by unauthorised repairs, modifications, or alterations to the Product.
  • Software issues, including viruses, firmware malfunctions, or data loss.
  • Accessories or consumable parts (e.g., batteries, chargers, headphones) unless specified otherwise.
  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or minor defects that do not affect functionality.
  • Products that have been tampered with or repaired by unauthorised parties.
  • Products with missing or altered serial numbers.
 

3.2 We reserve the right to decline a Warranty claim if we determine that the defect was caused by the customer’s misuse, neglect, or failure to follow proper care instructions.

3.3 The customer is responsible for regular maintenance of the Product, including but not limited to system updates and basic cleaning.

4. Claims Process

4.1 Notification
To make a claim under this Warranty, you must contact us by phone, email, or via our website within fourteen (14) days of identifying the defect. Please provide the following information:

  • Proof of purchase.
  • A detailed description of the defect.
  • Any relevant images or documentation.
 

4.2 Inspection and Determination
Upon receiving your claim, we will:

  • Review the information provided.
  • Instruct you on sending the Product back to us, if necessary.
  • Inspect the Product upon receipt to determine if the defect is covered by this Warranty.
 

4.3 Repairs and Replacement
If the Product defect is covered under this Warranty:

  • We will repair or replace the Product at no additional cost.
  • If a replacement is provided, it may be a refurbished unit of equal or similar value and condition.
  • If we determine that repair or replacement is not feasible, we may issue a partial refund based on the Product’s purchase price and condition.
 

4.4 Shipping and Handling

  • Shipping costs for sending the Product to us for inspection are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Sold On Ltd. will cover the costs for returning repaired or replacement Products to you.
 

5. Limitation of Liability

5.1 Except as specifically stated in this Warranty, Sold On Ltd. shall not be responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:

  • The use or inability to use the Product.
  • Loss of data or any software issues.
  • Any modifications or repairs done by unauthorized personnel.
 

5.2 Our liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the Product under the terms of this Warranty. This Warranty does not affect or limit your statutory rights under UK law.

6. Customer Responsibilities

6.1 You agree to use the Product in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and guidelines. Improper use may void this Warranty.

6.2 It is your responsibility to back up all data stored on the Product prior to making a Warranty claim. Sold On Ltd. is not liable for any loss of data, personal information, or files during repairs or replacement processes.

7. Warranty Transfer and Termination

7.1 This Warranty is provided to the original purchaser only and is not transferable to any subsequent owner of the Product.

7.2 This Warranty will terminate if the Product is resold, transferred, or modified without prior authorisation from Sold On Ltd.

8. Governing Law

8.1 This Warranty Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Warranty shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Customer Acknowledgment and Acceptance

By purchasing a Product from Sold On Ltd., you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms of this 12-Month Warranty and agree to abide by them. This Warranty does not limit your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable UK law.
