1. Interpretation and Scope
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and any services we provide. The domain name soldon.com and its associated subdomains (collectively referred to as the “Website”) are owned and operated by Sold On.
Scope: By accessing the Website or using any of Sold On’s services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, along with the applicable policies incorporated herein by reference. Your continued use of the Website signifies your acceptance of these Terms.
2. Definitions
a. “Affiliates”
Refers to any website operator, retailer, kiosk operator, direct marketing company, telemarketer, or other operator of direct marketing campaigns that has entered into an agreement with Sold On to receive compensation for transactions generated through their referral efforts.
b. “Buying”
Denotes the purchase of any product by a Customer from Sold On.
c. “Cookies”
Refers to small text files placed on your device by our website to store information about your shopping session and to identify your device for improved user experience.
d. “Customer”
A person or organisation that buys, sells, or exchanges products with Sold On.
e. “Exchange”
The act of giving one item and receiving another in return, which may involve cash, goods, or donations as part of the transaction.
f. “Personal Information”
The details you provide during registration, as well as any additional information shared before or after registration.
g. “Product/s”
Refers to movable property bought, sold, or exchanged between a Customer and Sold On, including items sent to Sold On for sale where the transaction is not yet finalised.
h. “Product Description”
The section of the website that provides detailed information about a specific product.
i. “Return Period”
A period of 30 days from the date of purchase within which the Customer may return the Product in accordance with the Return Policy.
j. “Selling”
Refers to any product sold by a Customer to Sold On.
k. “Sold On”
Includes Sold On Limited, its affiliated entities.
l. “User”
An individual who accesses or uses this website and/or is a Customer of Sold On.
m. “Users”
Collectively refers to all individuals who use or access the website.
n. “VAT Margin Scheme”
A special VAT scheme applied to used goods, where VAT is only paid on the margin between the purchase and sale prices, not the full selling price.
o. “Warranty Period”
A period of 12 months following the date of purchase during which the Product is covered by Sold On’s limited warranty.
p. “Website”
The online platform located at soldon.com, including its subdomains and any subsequent URLs that may replace it.
3. Product Warranty
3.1 Standard Warranty Coverage
Sold On offers a 12-month warranty on most products, subject to certain exceptions detailed in sections 3.1.1 and 3.1.2. Certain items may have a shorter warranty period as outlined in 3.1.2.
3.1.1 Warranty Exclusions
The following are not covered under the warranty:
- Physical damage
- Liquid damage
- Damage caused by rooting or jailbreaking a device
- Removable components such as battery covers, port/interface covers, and lens caps
- Items with single-use codes (e.g., software, game activation codes, subscription codes)
3.1.2 Consumable Parts and Coverage Periods
Consumable parts that degrade with normal use are covered for 30 days from the date of purchase. Non-removable consumable parts, such as sealed batteries, are covered under the full warranty duration.
3.2 Data Responsibility
Sold On is not responsible for any data loss. Customers are advised to ensure that all personal data is removed from devices before submitting them for warranty claims, testing, resale, or returns.
3.3 Faults Within 30 Days
If a product is found to be faulty within 30 days of purchase, Sold On will provide a full refund to the original payment method.
3.4 Faults Between 30 Days and 6 Months
For products that develop faults between 30 days and 6 months from purchase, Sold On will fully test the product. If defective, the product will either be repaired or replaced. If the product is not found to be faulty, it will be returned to the customer. If a previous repair or replacement becomes faulty, a refund will be issued at the original purchase value.
3.5 Faults After 6 Months but Within 1 Year
For products that fail after 6 months but before 12 months from purchase, Sold On will either repair or replace the product. If the product has been previously repaired or replaced and is now faulty again, a refund will be processed at the lower of the original or current value of the product.
3.6 Shipment and Risk of Loss
All products sent to Sold On for returns or refunds under warranty are shipped at the customer’s risk. The title and risk of loss remain with the customer until the product is received by Sold On.
3.7 Exclusions from Warranty
This warranty does not cover damage or failure due to accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, improper installation, incorrect voltage, interference from other electronic devices, modifications (including firmware or BIOS flashing), or service by anyone other than Sold On or an approved agent.
4. Return Policy
4.1. Sold On offers a 30-day Return Policy. Customers may return any Product within 30 days of receipt, provided it meets the conditions outlined in this section.
4.2. To qualify for a return:
- The Product must be in the same condition as received, with no additional damage or alterations.
- The Product must include all accessories, original packaging, and any included documentation.
- Customers must initiate the return process by contacting Sold On’s customer service team within the Return Period.

4.3. Sold On reserves the right to inspect returned Products and determine if they meet the criteria for a refund. Any Product that does not meet these conditions may be refused.
4.4. If the return is accepted, Sold On will issue a refund of the purchase price, excluding any original shipping costs. The refund will be processed to the original payment method within 14 business days.
5. Product Descriptions:
5.1 Product Condition: All products sold are second-hand unless otherwise specified. Product descriptions and images provided on the website are for illustrative purposes only and may not represent the final product you receive. The contents of product boxes may vary, and additional downloadable content listed on the packaging may not be included. Sold On cannot confirm the price of a product until your order has been accepted in accordance with our policies.
5.2 Images: The images shown on the website are for illustrative purposes only. The actual product design, color, and appearance may differ from what is depicted in the images.
5.3 Product Condition and Pricing: The price of a product is determined by its cosmetic condition and any included accessories. Products are graded according to the following categories:
- As New: as-new condition with no wear
- Excellent: minimal wear and fully functional
- Good: some wear and fully functional
- Fair: cosmetic wear and fully functional

5.4 Packaging: Original product packaging is classified by one of the following categories:
- Boxed: Includes original packaging.
- Unboxed: No original packaging included.

5.5 Pricing Changes: Sold On reserves the right to modify product prices at any time without prior notice.
5.6 Apple Devices: For Apple devices, it is required that the iCloud account is deactivated before submission. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the device is free of any accounts, passwords, or personal information before the device is accepted by Sold On.
6. VAT Margin Scheme
6.1. Products sold by Sold On are subject to the VAT Margin Scheme, which applies only to the margin between Sold On’s purchase price and resale price. As such, VAT is included in the total price but is not displayed separately.
6.2. Sold On will provide Customers with an invoice, but VAT will not be listed as a separate item, in accordance with VAT Margin Scheme regulations.
7. Purchasing from Sold On
7.1 By making a purchase from Sold On, you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to ensure you have the necessary compatible accessories, appropriate power adapters, equipment, software, display devices, and any other relevant machinery required to safely connect the products to power sources, mains electricity, batteries, and any other associated devices.
7.2 In order to maintain balanced demand and supply, and to ensure fair and natural price fluctuations as well as stock availability for all customers, Sold On reserves the right to limit the quantity of any specific item that can be sold to a single customer at any given time.
8. Selling to Sold On
8.1 Sold On reserves the right to refuse to purchase any product at its sole discretion.
8.2 Sold On may impose limits on the number of products purchased at its discretion. If multiple identical or similar products are being sold, a bulk-selling discount may apply. The final price will be communicated to you prior to confirming the sale. A contract will only be formed once you accept the bulk discount price. If you choose not to accept the bulk discount price, your products will be returned, and no contract will be formed.
8.3 Upon selling your products to Sold On, ownership will transfer to Sold On. You warrant that you are the lawful owner of the products, or that you have authorisation to sell them, and that the products are free of any encumbrances or third-party claims. If the products are later found to be stolen, encumbered, or counterfeit, Sold On reserves the right to pursue legal action (civil and criminal) against you.
8.4 Please note that prices displayed on our website are subject to change without prior notice. Sold On offers payment by bank transfer, or vouchers, depending on your preference. The price paid in cash may differ from the price offered in vouchers or exchanges. Vouchers, once issued, are non-transferable and have no cash value. However, you may sell the vouchers to someone else at your own risk. Sold On is not liable for any fraud related to vouchers. The person in possession of the voucher will be considered its rightful owner.
8.5 Data Wipe Obligation
It is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure that any device sold to Sold On is completely cleared of personal data. The customer must take all reasonable measures to wipe or erase any data stored on the device or any accompanying storage device.
8.6 If the total purchase exceeds the balance on the redeemable voucher, the remaining balance must be paid using another voucher, or any other accepted payment method available at the time of transaction.
9. Registration
9.1 You represent and warrant that:
9.1.1 All personal information you provide during registration as a customer is accurate, current, complete, and true to the best of your knowledge.
9.1.2 You will promptly update your account with any changes to your personal information to ensure its accuracy.
9.1.3 You agree not to impersonate any individual or entity, or use a false identity or name that you are not authorised to use.
10. Intellectual Property Rights
10.1 Copyright
All content featured on the Sold On website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software, is the property of Sold On or its content licensors and is protected by UK and international copyright laws.
10.2 Trademarks
“Sold On” and any other trademarks displayed on the Sold On website are registered trademarks of Sold On or its subsidiaries, both in the UK and other jurisdictions. Additionally, graphics, logos, page headers, button icons, scripts, and service names used by Sold On are trademarks or trade dress owned by Sold On or its subsidiaries.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 Sold On will use reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of the information presented on its website; however, Sold On makes no warranties, whether express or implied, regarding the accuracy or completeness of this information.
11.2 Sold On will not be held liable, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, for:
- Any economic losses;
- Any loss of goodwill or reputation;
- Any special, indirect, or consequential losses incurred by the User under these Terms of Use.

11.3 Sold On’s liability, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, for any defects in the Products or for any breach of these Terms of Use, or any duty owed to the Customer, shall be limited to the total price paid for the relevant Products.
12. Severance
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable for any reason, that provision will be considered separate from the rest of the Terms. The invalidity or un-enforceability of such provision will not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions of these Terms.
13. Indemnity
You agree to fully indemnify and hold Sold On harmless from any claims, liabilities, losses, or damages, including legal fees, arising out of or in connection with your negligence or breach of these terms.
14. Notice
14.1 Any notice required to be given under these Terms of Use may be delivered by hand, sent by post, registered post, or via recorded delivery. The notice will be deemed received by the addressee during normal business hours.

15. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
By engaging in transactions with Sold On, you agree that the laws of England and Wales will govern these Terms and Conditions. Any disputes arising from or relating to your use of Sold On’s services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

17. Age Restrictions
17.1 By placing an order or making a purchase, the Customer confirms that they are of legal age to receive and view the relevant certification for the product(s) they have ordered or purchased.
17.2 If the Customer is purchasing a product on behalf of another individual, they are responsible for ensuring that the intended recipient is of the appropriate age to receive and view the relevant certification for the product(s) being ordered or purchased.
17.3 Customers under the age of 13 may only use the website with the consent and active involvement of a parent or guardian.
Sold On reserves the right to refuse service, suspend accounts, remove or modify content, or cancel orders at its sole discretion, particularly if an order is placed without appropriate parental or guardian involvement where required.
18. Force Majeure
Sold On will not be held responsible for any failure or delay in performance if it is caused by events beyond its control, such as:
- Acts of God (natural events like earthquakes, hurricanes)
- War (conflicts, military actions)
- Strike or lockout (labor disputes or work stoppages)
- Industrial action (including protests or other disruptions)
- Fire, flood, drought, storm (natural disasters)
- Other events beyond reasonable control (broadly encompassing other unpredictable situations)

19.1 Buying from Sold On
19.1.1 Binding Contract
When you place an order online, it forms a binding contract once the order is dispatched by Sold On, unless the order is cancelled by either Sold On or the customer. Sold On reserves the right to cancel an order if the product is out of stock, if payment is not received properly, or if the customer does not meet the eligibility criteria or violates the Terms of Use.
19.1.2 Order Cancellation
Orders may be cancelled by the customer or Sold On at any time before the product is dispatched.
19.1.3 Returns and Refunds
In accordance with distance selling regulations, you may return products as unwanted within 14 days of receiving them. After the 14-day period, Sold On reserves the right to deny any refund or exchange for products that are not faulty.
19.1.4 Delivery
Sold On will only deliver orders to the billing address associated with the customer’s bank/credit card. Sold On is not responsible for missed deliveries resulting from incorrect or incomplete address details provided by the customer.
19.2 Selling to Sold On
19.2.1 Timely Dispatch
When selling products to Sold On, you must ensure that the products are dispatched to the designated location within ten (10) days of placing the order. If the products are not received by Sold On within this timeframe, the quoted prices may change, or the order may be cancelled.
19.2.2 Risk and Title
Products shipped to Sold On are subject to a shipment contract. Until Sold On receives the products, the risk of loss and ownership remain with the customer.
19.2.3 Complete Orders
You are responsible for ensuring all parts of your order are shipped at the same time. If Sold On receives only part of the order, they will cancel the unreceived products and process only those that have been received. Sold On is not liable for incomplete orders.
19.2.4 Payment Details
Sold On will issue payments based on the account details provided by the customer. They are not responsible for incorrect payments if the details provided are inaccurate.
19.2.5 Product Value Adjustment
The value offered for products may be adjusted upon receipt, depending on the condition or quantity of the items received.
20. Delivery
20.1 Delivery is considered complete when Sold On transfers the Product to the Customer.
20.2 If the delivery of Products is delayed, the Customer is not entitled to:
a. Reject the Products.
b. Cancel the order.
c. Withhold any payment due under the Product purchase agreement.
21. Failed Products
21.1 Any product that does not pass our quality testing will be returned to the customer upon request. The return will be processed using Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.
21.2 After dispatch, we will provide a tracking number upon request for your convenience.
21.3 Sold On is not liable for any lost or damaged products during the return process of failed products.
22. Our Rights
Sold On reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. By continuing to use the website (or any part of it) after such changes are made, you acknowledge and accept the updated terms. If you do not agree with any changes to the Terms and Conditions, you must cease using the website immediately.
23. Third-Party Links
Sold On is not responsible for the content of any third-party websites or services that are linked to from our site or provided through other means. We do not endorse or have control over the information, products, or services offered by these third parties.
